Beautiful Homedics ARM-CAN1 AromaSpa Flameless Candle Aroma Oil Diffuser

I really like this product. Homedics ARM-CAN1 AromaSpa Flameless Candle Aroma Oil Diffuser. I use it in my bedroom. You only need to put a little bit of oil in it and it lasts a long time. I just put enough to coat the bottom of the oil cup and it lasts over a week if I don't change the scent. With a oil burner with a flame candle I don't get the same results.

I think its pretty and goes with many decors. I don't think the rocks block the scent from coming out. There is no real flame so its safer to use around my cats, who were curious at first but now they don't bother it. There is also an auto shut off feature that turns the unit off after 6 hours. The only con is that it has to be plugged in for the scent. You can use the candle part on just batteries. I like the idea of using different rocks or marbles to change the look. I might try that.

Skin Care Formulas: General Guidelines

Consult with your client while assessing the skin’s general condition. Discuss your findings with the client, obtaining the most accurate information that will assist you in preparing the proper formula.

For skin care, the practitioner will be massaging the solution directly into the skin. And it will stay in the tissue for hours, if not days. The penetration ability of essential oil is why it is so effective. In ranking the three areaso f the professional market-hair, skin, and nail care-aromatherapy was best designed for the skin.

Essential oils travel through the epidermal tissue with ease due to their minute molecular structure, and their compatibility to the cell structure in the epidermall ayers. Another element to thesu ccess of essential oils’ ability to penetrate the skin is that they are lipophilic. This means that they have an affinity for fat cells.

Since fat cel!s of the skin are found in the subcutaneous layer, the absorption rate of most essential oils is immediate. For all cleansers you begin with a base: two ounces for each client. Add the essential oils into the base. For sensitive skin and/or mild solutions: the mixture should be comprised of up to ten drops of essential oils.

Use less top note oils. For moderate solutions: the mixture shouldb e comprised of up to twenty drops o f essential oils. You have more freedom in selecting the various potent oils.

For powerful solutions: mix up to thirty drops o f essential oils. Using the strongest top notoei ls may mean that the numbeorf drops is drastically reduced. ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT LESS IS BETTER.

President Emeritus of The Fragance Foundation and Linda Dyette, a great jewelry and design expert, wrote an extremely interesting and intriguing book about the history perfume as ornamentation.

Their gorgeous book is beautifully illustrated and traces the story of perfume as an ornament from early history to the late 1990s. The book shows that while perfume bottles were sometimes collectors' items, aromatic jewelry has reinvented itself according to the fashion of the era: rings, lapel pins, earrings and even whistles have all carried perfume. The book is very well researched and has beautiful illustrations.

Essence Of Aromatherapy

Essential oils are said to be the heart and soul of aromatherapy. This is perhaps because it is the one that provides the main material used in this process. Essential oils are found in plants. From its roots to its fruits, essential oils are in their different parts. In fact, there are some plants that can provide you with different essential oils. Others can only give you one scent although the oils can be extracted in different parts of the plants.

Quality Of The Essential Oil Extracted

Despite coming from natural plant sources, essential oils have different quality. Like many products, some are better than others. Quality of the essential oils will depend on the plant source, how it was grown, the climate where it was grown and the condition of the soil. For instance, a plant source that is grown organically will give better quality essential oils than the plants which were sprayed with pesticides or had industrial chemicals put into it. Another factor that can affect the quality is how it is harvested as well as the process used during extraction.

Methods Of Extraction

Oils can be extracted in different methods. There is the steam distillation which is the most common. Another is the cold pressed method, which is often done with citrus plants and nuts. Solvent extracted method, on the other hand, is often used when extracting oils from plants like jasmine and rose, whose oils are found in flower petals. This is harder to distill. That is why the solvent extracted are often used. A newer process called the super-critical carbon dioxide extraction method is being introduced in the industry but only a few make use of it.

Massage Using Essential Oils In Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy massage is a kind of massage using essential oils incorporated to the conventional massage lotions or oil. The only difference from regular massage is the use of essential oils and yet that simple distinction makes regular massage and aromatherapy massage worlds apart. The reason is in the oils.

Essential oils contain natural chemical compounds that get transmitted through our noses when we inhale the aroma of the essential oils. As these chemical molecules reach the limbic system of the brain, our mood, emotions, and state of mind and well-being are affected, often times resulting in a relaxed and rejuvenated state. The limbic system of the brain functions as a control tower for human emotions, as well as the nervous system, and the body's hormones.

If we combine the effects of essential oils with the techniques of different kinds of massages, we get something that benefits not only our inner well being but our physical condition as well.

Aside from the scents emitted by essential oils, it is believed the properties of the oil that makes them therapeutic can be absorbed through the skin. However, care must be taken when applying amounts of essential oils on the skin. Pure essential oils can cause irritations for others and can lead to complications if not properly addressed.

Nevertheless, with the right additives, mainly carrier oils, the maximum benefits of essential oils in aromatherapy massage will be attained.

Among the more popular blends of essential oils used in aromatherapy massage includes chamomile, lavender and geranium oils which are used primarily to clam ones state of mind, relieving the stressful environment hovering someone who worries a lot or is show aggressive behaviors all the time.

Rosemary oil is good to energize and cleanse the body. If, however, one needs more than just to be re- energized, the essential oils from clary sage, rose and neroli are good for uplifting the soul.

Aromatherapy massage, just like any other massages is not for everyone. Those with open wounds, rashes, or any skin disease is not advised to have aromatherapy massage, or any kind of massage for that matter. The contact and pressure on the skin will cause more pain and trouble than relief. Likewise, those who have undergone surgery, chemotherapy, people with heart diseases, and pregnant women are definitely on this list.

Aromatherapy massage is great for removing the everyday stress and is especially great for the piled-up stress from work and other pressures from our daily lives. It is also being recommended for people with headaches, back pain, digestive problems, and premenstrual syndrome.
